The guy with the Indian accent said so sorry m'am, I will continue to call, so sorry. After asking him "what to you want?" he asked "will you marry me." Disgusting
This number has called several times a day over the past week, or so. Today (after the fourth call) I decided to answer, knowing full well what would await me on the other end. He started off telling me that he was calling from Microsoft and went into his spiel about my computer downloading malware. I said, "Wait, did you say you're calling from Microsoft?" He responded with "No, Microsoft will not call you. I'm calling about Windows on your computer". I told him I don't have a computer, he got flustered then said "Do you have a laptop?" I then responded with "No, I do not! I know what kind of scam you're running and it won't work on me. Remove my number from your calling list and don't ever call this number again". Then I hung up. I'm disappointed...it's been almost twenty minutes, and he's yet to call back.
FRAUD. Claim to be Windows Customer Care. State unusual activity and and virus noted on my system. I ask them for my system IP Address...silence....ask them to hold on while I get Microsoft Consumer Fraud Division on the other line to verify. But ask for the individuals employee and facility number so I can pass that on, they give fake numbers and ask them to verify...they want me to repeat it back, tell them no, I want them to give it to me again ...silence....say, okay I have Microsoft on my other line and tell them about the number and information, then read back the number I was called from...phone went DEAD.
