I totally agree. Call these idiots back but only do it from a blocked number. Harass the crap out of them. I told him that karma was going to bite him hard and he would rot in hell. You should have heard the crap spewing from his mouth. I told him karma would come and get him and unfortunately it will hurt some innocent person in his family. It was so funny to hear how mad he got.
I recieved a voice mail sayaing that i need to call them back because it is very important , i called them back and the guy told me that i have a tax mispayment since 2008 and the the police officer is coming to get me, then he gave me another option just to pay pay them 5000 dollars or any amount just to solve the problem. Then i told them that i have a lawyer friend and i need to talk to him first before i give money. Then he drop the call and then after less than an hour he called me back, and i realized that he was not from CRA, he is using David Walker
I received the same message yesterday afternoon. I called back and the line was always busy, I called today and was busy again. So they called back again today Tuesday but left no message. I called again and this time a man with an Indian accent answered and there was so much noisy on the back. He asked for my phone number and said the CRA has warrant on your name, and police is coming to arrest you if you don't pay immediately, so I said ok what is my option then, he said you want to resolve this matter now or fight it in court, so this sounded suspicious to me the I told him that I was to call the CRA myself to find out what the matter was, so he says ok bye, this is totally a scam
I just retrieved a message in which the caller claimed to be from the CRA and demanded I return the call to an agent by the name of David Walker. Although suspicious I did return the call to the number left 613-704-4496 but received a beeping sound...considering the vague and unprofessional/governmental nature of the call (no clarification of who the caller was trying to speak with, no 800 number and the threat to call immediately) I choose to google "CRA, David Walker" and found this site, thankfully! Now I'm just hoping Mr. Walker tries again!
They were actually calling for my husband and when we called back he did not say that the message was going to be recorded like they always do. Then he started going off about how there is a lawsuit against us for tax evasion and the RcMP is coming tonight. So for some reason i googled the number and this website showed up so i grabbed the phone and told him that i googled the number and this website showed up not CRA. Well after debating heinally said f off, which is the biggest give away. So glad for this site.
