I totally agree. Call these idiots back but only do it from a blocked number. Harass the crap out of them. I told him that karma was going to bite him hard and he would rot in hell. You should have heard the crap spewing from his mouth. I told him karma would come and get him and unfortunately it will hurt some innocent person in his family. It was so funny to hear how mad he got.
September 1st, 2015 I got the same message. Called back and I told him how did I know that this was not a scam and he hung up immediately. Let's hope that he does not succeed in defrauding anyone.
Same as mentioned previously. Received the phone message. Called the number. Got the same pitch. Sounded "suspicious" from the start. "Take cash to a bank -- we will provide a 'special' account number for you to deposit the money." Then he said they would seize my "401-K" funds. If they are trying to defraud Canadians, I think they should do more homework! Wow!! I hope no one falls for this con.
An automated message was saved to my answering service stating that it was from the CRA and that I had to call Officer David Walker between 9:00 and 7:00 Eastern Standard Time. It said "Don't disregard this message and return the call asap". Luckily, I know how an audit works and it isn't this way.
Same as above, David Walker Calling to informed me that I had an arrest warrant out for me because of a fraudulent charges.
As someone who does taxes for a living I know that they don't just call you and tell you that, and they don't leave messages like the ones everyone has been getting. Also most CRA phone numbers are 1800-959-XXXX. Please take note and let the world know.
