This is scam Number (1-613-707-2234). They will call saying that they from Federal Crime Investigation and will try getting money from you in exchange of closing the criminal file from Canadian Revenue Agency. They will not accept any check payment but insist on online money transfer. Beware!
They called my home saying that they are from crime investigation department and asked me to return the call to Mike Johnson. They said that there is an affidavit against me. When I called back I asked what company you are? The lady wants me to tell her what no. Mr. Johnson called for you? I asked your call is sounds phishing , she immediately put me on hold for long . Sounds like a phishing number. I would'nt waste my time to call back.
This no. also called me saying crime investigation dept. and they have file against me. I got suspicious because who know me more than anyone! So I started questioning him, what his name, what his ID no. Phone no. where is his office. he mentioned his name is Jon William, Id. no. NT 102. Funny part is you can tell this person is fake, his voice and accent is not professional and when I asked him how can you call me! your number is not even local, what jurisdiction you have to call me? He hang up...So don't be afraid, if u get call just question and find out.
This morning this number called me and i am from crime investigation depot and mention that they have file for me from from Canada revenue agency,i asked that why they send me the letter if there is some thing wrong, any way looks to me scam
