She told me the same thing today and said they had enough evidence to do so stating an old address and employment that can pretty much be found on Google. I asked what was the supposed amount and she couldn't give me that information.
i received this call today July 6, 2017 and was the same story. and she had my old Florida address ( which I haven't lived there in 8 years), correct last four digits of my SS, and an old correct email which I don't use nor remember the password for. I found funny when I argued that the mail should have not been going to Florida which I lived at 8 years ago. and I asked her to please send me all the information to my correct address and she said hold I have to give a client a call. she puts me on hold maybe 2-5 minutes the most. when she got back on the line she said that the client can not do that and in order for them to do that I have to DENY THE CHARGE and say that I WILL NOT PAY IT, for them to send me some kind of letter on the matter. I told her why am I going to deny something that I have no clue of what the matter is about. then she said hold for a minute while I call the client back. after 10 seconds she said that they will mail you all the information. She started to say thank you and I cut her off and asked her how are they planning on mailing me the information? to the same old address I do not live at anymore. she was like no they are lawyers they could find a way. I was like no I highly recommend you typing my address so I can have it correctly mailed to the correct address. So I gave her the address and asked how long do I have to wait for this letter. she said 10-15 business days. Maybe I did wrong by giving my address but we shall see what this BS is about.
Had the same p/c a few minutes ago. Asking me to verify information she already had. Saying there's a claim against me from 2008.... really...from Direct Sales regarding fraudulent charges on a Wells Fargo account that I never had. Ask me to settle over the phone for over 1000.00! Yea okay. I shouldn't have answered b/c these days scammers just need the sound of your voice to set you up. She told me to either settle today over the phone or get a letter in the mail with a court date. Girl bye...guess I be waiting on that letter
