Just got a second call this evening. It was another pre recorded message from Titan power calling on behalf of AEP to lower my bill. AEP has gives out their customer info.
This has prompted me to log into to AEP's website and change my phone number so now when AEP gives out my number it will now ring in to an automated (prerecorded) number. Thought about changing it to the police department. I might change it to Titans own number.
Please take note that Titan Power is a CERTIFIED electric supplier though the Ohio Electric Choice Program. We call because there IS a message printed on your utility statement about a state discount. The reason why you get calls is because you may be entitled to a reduction.
Since a message IS printed at the bottom of the utility bill about a discount, why not let the customer decide whether or not to call you and inquire about a possible discount as opposed to harassing everyone with rude, unwanted calls?
It's not meant to harass you. Thats why I love my job. I worked on the phones for over 15 years and when you call a person to actually do a good deed, it's the farthest thing from harassment in my mind. Your rate is a variable on your utility bill and the message is printed out so tiny that roughly 60% of customers miss it. I'm not saying this because I work for Titan, but Titan Power is an APPROVED and CERTIFIED supplier through the PUCO.
We are just doing our jobs, so all I ask is that you please understand. And the next time someone is trying to help you out with roughly a 20% savings, please dont bash.
