I switched to straight talk.through Walmart. Itgoes off the Verizon network. Well my does. I could be happier. I could only switch 2 out of my 4 phones but less headaches
My child's phone gets this call anytime we are a few days late on the Verizon bill. It's strange because my phone is the account holder and I'm the only signed up for alerts. I do not get alerts aside from my bill being available and that's via text. I don't understand why the non-account holder gets these messages. The calls come in as Verizon wanting to speak with you about your bill. I thought it was a scam, but it only happens when we are a few days late- and when I say a few days, I mean 3-4. And it has only been since I have taken automatic payments off, late last year. The only reason I hadn't paid is usually because I forget to log in and set the payment. If it's a scam, how would they know when we are in fact late? I don't like that it's not coming to my phone, the primary, but rather a 15 yr old's. As soon as the payment is made, the calls stop. They're automated and I've never spoken to anyone- just go pay my bill and sure enough, it'll be a few days late. I'm not sure why a search brings up this Felicia person, I saw that too. But as long as you just log into your account to see what's going on, you should be safe. I believe that it's a 3rd party biller. I once went into Verizon to discuss a problem with my account and they explained to me that the people I spoke to were all over the country at random call centers- because I had a problem with a customer service rep once. Verizon seems to contract out A LOT.
I have Verizon now for the last 6-7 years, yet when I first got my number 13 years ago- it was through Sprint. So, strangely enough, my number will show up on people's caller ID as either Sprint or Alltell? Sometimes it will show as Verizon- I'd be mad too if I were you, someone must have had your number and it must have been Verizon. If I google my number, it shows as Sprint still. Weird. They need to get a handle on it.
I've read this before on other sites- exactly what you said, that CS says it's not Verizon...and I also thought it was a scam, but the only time I get this call is when I'm late on my bill and it always stops when I pay. It's weird that they'd tell you it's not Verizon. I think it's just a 3rd party biller or whatever. I suggest that people just do what I do - check your account, if you're late? Pay it through Verizon, that's the safest route.
They keep calling us... Comes up as gates Cherokee... Called verizon but they say it's not them.., been late on the bill before and we get a text but no call... This is the first time and I do believe that it's verizon!
