The same thing happened to me. Called my alarm company and they told me this was a scam -- they come to your house, take out your old system, install a new system and switch you to their alarm company. If you refuse, they threaten to rip out the new (and only) system.
Told me they knew I had a Honeywell security system that was over three years old that needed updating. ( I do not). American English speaker that kept clearing her throat with every other word. What bugged me was that she knew how t pronounce my name and most people don't. I just hung up on her.
Keeps calling even though I blocked the number. If I was in need of a security system, I definitely wouldn't use their company. So sad we pay our phone bills and have to be bothered with these aggravating calls all day. No help from anyone. The do no call list is a darn joke. Of all the calls I get on a daily basis at least ten are bs calls.
Called at 1:50pm. Diverted by a service I subscribe to that intercepts robo-dialed calls (rhymes with SoNoHobo). I called back (*67) and got, “Your call did not go through. Please try your call again. 1-3-5-P." Came here to see if I could learn who they are. Now I do.
I have run into 2 or 3 of these kind of "error" messages when I've test-called back some numbers; the information here suggests that certain types of scammers — particularly dangerous ones, apparently — use a service that protects them in a particular way.
