Yes, they do need the DNC llst if they are a telemarketer as per the definition of a telemarketer. They need to scrum their lists. No, they don't buy the list to have "good" phone numbers. That is simply some fantasy someone made up (probably a telemarketer). It doesn't matter where they get your number, the law is the law and real legitimate companies abide by it. Crooks and criminals never do.

Every now and then I answer a call from a number I don't recognize if I think someone may be calling me and I don't have their number. And this is what happens. ALWAYS LET UNRECOGNIZED NUMBERS GO TO VOICEMAIL!!!
I am plagued with these calls and fed up - I don't answer unless I know the number. We contact them and tell them to remove us; "yeah, sure we can do it" but never happens
614-541-2513 called my house. I let the answering machine get it. I never answer. If you register to vote don't add any phone numbers. All that voting info goes into the public records. A telemarketer told me that. They don't need the DNC list.
Why would you believe anything a telemarketer told you?
And no, they "don't need the DNC list". Why would they pay for that qhen all they have to do is call numbers at random?
