I have gotten several calls to my cell phone from this number, same scam $120 gas card from my "mastercard", but they can't tell me what bank my "mastercard" is associated with and they want me to pay for shipping for my reward package. I, however, have never purchased a Snuggie or anything else from that company.
I too bought Snuggies before Christmas from TV. It took about 5-6 weeks to get to me. They charged me $84 for the buy one get one free deal! Also got the same call as the rest of you... Calling about my Mac/debit card ending in last 4 numbers xxxx. They would like to reward me with $60 gas card as a gift. When I found out it would cost me $1 for this free card my radar went up and said no thanks. She was still talking over me when I hung up and called my bank. I asked
lthem if they heard of the company Synergy and if they represented the bank. Of course the answer was no. Have you noticed the new Snuggies being sold are called Toasty Wraps?Same Booklight and all.
Well I've not been called by them since that ( last week). We'll see what happens.
I also have been called up to 4 times a day , only 1 time someone spoke and mentioned a 60 gas card. Do not give them any info. Now when they call i dont answer or somtimes if i am in the mood i break there chops in my own special way You should call your card co/bank and let them know .Mbank is looking in to this but said it is hard to do anything about it.They also feel that it has somthing to do with the snuggies i bought for christmas.
Today is Feb.24, 2009, and I have received 4 telemaketing calls inside of 3 hours! It comes across on my caller i.d. as Incoming Call. They leave no messages, but I will relate to the public not to enter any online contests on their favorite sites that require phone numbers to contact you.
Plus, check your cable company if you have a combo package of cable/phone/internet services, because they may also be giving out your personal information, wither it's intentional or someone that works for them are leaking information, but I live in South Texas, and had Grande Communications for their combo pkg. They had to change my landline with them due to a service issue on their part (I was getting tele-marketers calling then), and after receiving my new number, a tele-marketer called within an hour of getting my new number & called me by name! I haven't had the chance to contact my husband with our new number, and they had a lot of personal information on both of us! Trying to sell car warranties on a car that's in my husband's name only. The following phone numbers you should be aware of also:
888-382-1222, 989-732-0514, 847-232-3321, and 562-223-8875...all scams trying to sell warranties, vacation pkgs., "FREE" gifts but need to charge your credit card to process it to you.
