I would like to know who gives permission for Privacy.ca to bill my Visa 29.95 a month? Does anybody know. I can't figure out when this occurred. I did call and cancel it. Visa was well aware because she told me to call them direct to cancel. She stated if I had any problems to call her back.
This just bugs me that I get billed this much a month.
I keep getting calls from this number. The first time they were calling and telling me that I was getting free gas cards, etc. for being a great customer. They've continued to call and when I they get my VM, they just sit on the phone (in silence) waiting for me to pickup; I can hear others in the background. I told the caller that if they kept calling I would report them to the authorities.
I saw other callers say they started getting the calls after ordering a Snuggie blanket. I am in that population too. I hope that Snuggie did not sell our personal information without our consent....that would be illegal!!
RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AND CALLER ID WAS KEY BENEFITS. PERSON SAID BECAUSE I WAS A GOOD "OVER 20 YEAR" CUSTOMER OF VISA I WOULD GET A $50 FREE GAS CARD, CALL CONTINUED SAYING I WOULD GET OTHER "FREE" COUPONS OR SOME SUCH THING. THE CALLER KEPT TRYING TO GET ME TO ANSWER "YES" TO HER QUESTIONS WHICH WERE REDUNDANT, LIKE DID I UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE SAID. I JUST KEPT SAYING "I AM LISTENING." I WAS CURIOUS FOR HER TO GET TO THE POINT - WHAT DID SHE WANT FROM ME. SHE SAID THEY WERE GOING TO MAIL ME ALL THIS WONDERFUL "FREE" STUFF. WHEN SHE ASKED IF I HAD ANY QUESTIONS, I SAID IF YOU ARE GIVING ME ALL THIS STUFF FREE WHY DON'T YOU JUST MAIL IT TO ME? WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME? SHE WENT INTO HER SPEAL AGAIN ABOUT WHAT A GOOD CUSTOMER I AM OF VISA. SHE HAD THE LAST 4 NUMBERS OF MY VISA CARD. I FINALLY GOT TIRED OF LISTENING TO HER AND SAID MAIL IT TO ME IF YOU WANT AND I HUNG UP. FIRST, I AM NOT A 20 YEAR VISA CUSTOMER. SECOND, I DID JUST ORDER SNUGGIE BLANKETS WHICH I HAVE NOT RECEIVED.
Here is the deal. Snuggie did not sell our information. Unfortunately, some hacker got into their system and stole our information from them. I got a call about 1 1/2 weeks ago and no message. Then today I answered and they said i was going to get free gas cards, blah blah blah. I said no. They hung up. I called back got an answering machine. I called my bank, which you should do too. They had received a notice from Visa with a list of all cards compromised. Mine was one. Yes, I too ordered a snuggie. We got ours and my kids love them, BTW. But the point is that it isn't snuggie’s fault. The call center working for snuggie was compromised. Anyway, if you got a call from this number, call your bank right away!!!
