lol received the same IRS tax scam call, left the same message on my voicemail as others, i proceeded to call them back and messed with them. Additional attempts to call back resulted in going to a voicemail which i left my own comical voicemails in a fake indian accent.
Call back they just answered hello when I asked if they were a legit business why they didn't say the name and hung up on me. Call back told him I could do this all day he said it was a private number and hung up on me again. I again called back and left him a nice nasty message.
Be careful of assuming the person who answered was actually the one who called you. These scammers spoof caller ID and can often cause the number of an innocent party to appear. You do not want to be guilty of harassing someone who has no connection to the scam.
They just called. It was a pre recorded message. Thick Indian accent. Claiming to be with the US Treasury. Claimed not calling back was a Federal offense.
My friend got a call same. I called the number on the recorder and I could hear kids in the back ground.I think police should know about this if they don't already
