CID shows Not Available. It could very well be portfoolio with another new number but since I didn't recognize the number and I NEVER answer a call with an ID like that, I don't know for sure.

About an hour prior to this, I received an unrecognized number from my own area code. Google did not reveal any info on that particular number. I will assume it is portfolio also. I appreciate everyone that updates these sites regularly. It is a tremendous help !
Call repeatedly, trying to collect on a credit card from 2005 that was stolen, reported to police and the credit card company in 2007. I never heard anymore about ituntil these scumbags started calling me to collect an $8,000 balance!! They didn't want to hear that I didn't owe anything onthe stolen card, and continued to call. So far I have blocked 6 different #'s for this same group, Portfolio Recovery.
They've been calling me for months using so many different numbers, I've lost count. I never answer. If they were legit and serious, they'd be sending notification in the mail detailing the debt owed. I went bankrupt 3 years ago after getting a divorce and have zero debt. I pay cash for everything now. I could probably answer and tell them all of this, including giving them my attorney's phone number. But based on what I've read about them, they probably wouldn't take the info down or even believe me. They just want to get people to admit they had debt and just give in and pay them. More likely though, they are trying to find my ex-wife who has changed her number as many times as the number of phone numbers they use to harass people and who never had her debt discharged. Not in the mood to listen to them try and get me to give them her number or address. Not my place to do that and also not my problem anymore.
On 12 7 16 at approximately 9:14AM call came from this number,Person kept asking for person. Asked them how they got the number as it was unlisted. They kept asking questions. I just hung up,Disconnected.
