Filed a complaint. They call numerous times a day as early as 6:30am, and until 4pm. This number they are calling from is new. I have an app that automatically hangs up on spam #'s.i currently have no debt, and haven't had any for the past 10years.
Well what can I tell you? These guys (Portfolio Recovery) are genuine bottom feeders of debt collection industry. They buy old statute expired debt and through harassment tactics try to collect 10 to 30 cents on the dollar. Of course the minute anything is collected, the statute date resets to day 1 and their other outfits and ambulance chasers come after you. If you have noticed their letter of settlement is only for the debt with them, not original debtor or the next place they sell it to. The only way to fight these guys is to get with your state authorities. These guys know all the Federal loopholes.
Thanks to all of you who post here with your warning and information and thanks to Android app "whocalls" for the identifying heads up based upon this information I simply pressed block and I will not be bothered by even a ring anymore from this number. I know they have blocks of numbers but I never answer unknown numbers. Portfolio Recovery never leaves a message they R sneaky lowlifes
