We changed providers and got a new number a week or two ago and this call comes in pretty much every day. Really irked me, so I signed up for the do not call registry. I did that on Friday night...

same number called my house phone #. mother picked up, they asked whether she spoke english? my mom gave them diff answer for speaking another language, and they then hung up. happened today about 40min ago.
I've recieved calls from this number a few times. A recording says "please stay on the line", and then immediately hangs up. I finally decided to call back. I was on hold for almost a half hour before I gave up. I got the recording saying that all agents were busy, please hold, blah, blah...you know the deal. However, that exact recording only repeated itself for about five minutes or so before it was replaced by another voice saying the same thing. Strange thing was, the second voice sounded like an actual human being and not a recording. I tried to talk to this other voice, but still all I got was that same phrase repeated every ten seconds or so. Pretty strange. I could be wrong about there being an actual person on the other end, but it honestly sounded like a man imitating an automated voice. This could be some complete hoax by some weirdo having fun. It reminds me of Frank Zappa's old Barking Pumpkin Hotline. The number was posted on all his album covers, and when a fan would call to find out what it was all about, an operator would pick up the phone and not say a word. Pretty strange and funny, but not when you're actually recieving the calls. That's just annoying.
I have been receiving calls at home and on my cell from this number and exactly ythe same thing happens, it hangs up when i answer and cant get anyone when I call the number back.....what can be done...they call everyday a couple times a day.
THIS NUMBER 1 631-963-7520. This number keeps calling me. When I answer they do not respond then they hang up. I tried calling back to no avail. They had me on hold for at least a half hour. Just keep saying all our reps are busy at this time. Does anyone now how too stop these harrassing calls. and my number is private. Also I'm on the do not call list.
