Six weeks later, two calls from this number appeared on my call log, but the phone did not ring. They were both listed as the same minute. One showed a VOIP number; the other showed no name. I haven't blocked it myself - yet.
You seem to say that this is a legitimate caller, not a prankster. How does it obtain the numbers to call? In case you may know, how do the prank callers obtain numbers?
Irregardless of who is hiding behind spoofing this number, you really do need to give it up. You are not welcome to call & torment us just because we have a telephone.
