I missed the call. Searched on Yahoo and found a person in MO and this listing for Auto Warranties. Our cell phones are on the do not call list but we can't seem to block the Auto Warranty solicitors. They always call from different numbers. It also seems when you ignore it the number keeps calling, not always in the same day, until the call is answered. Major annoying.
I have received several calls from 636-688-5522 and the ones that I have answered have been regarding a second warning for my vehicle warranty (same as several others listed here). I also have received several from 909-842-9123, 219-253-2323, 702-520-1185, 818-870-9288 with the same message.
I decided to follow through and talk to the people so hit the "1" button. 3'30" later (!!) I got the automated voice that said the next available operator would help me. (not a typo-- it took over 3 minutes just to get the line picked up that someone would get to me!). Another 2 minutes later a woman finally answered, sounding like she'd rather be ANYwhere else. Her tone / demeanor couldn't have been less enthused that if it one minute to midnight and she was hoping for the Governor's call. First she asked if I was calling about the car warranty info. (Maybe I should've said I was looking for Shirley?? I mean, what else, right?) When I confirmed, then she asked make and model. I asked why she needed that- how could she know it's about to expire, unless they knew my make and model? She talked around it and I made up what I had. (2007 Lexus. Ha!! It's really a '98 LeSabre.) She quoted some bogus crap-- REALLY affordable, and why not since it'd never cost them anything in outlay? And I said, no thanks, I only deal with hppy people. She CLICKED off.
