Told them I don't have Windows on my computer please don't call me they have still been calling me every month for 1year even after I tell them to take me of the list they said for 1 hundred dollar they will take me of the list
SCAM! I receive about 10 of these calls a month, This is what to do with them: (1) ask them what company they are with, they may say Windows, AOL, Road runner, etc. (2) ask them for their 1st and last names and their employee I.D. #, then ask them if you can place them on hold while you verify their information with Windows personally. More than likely they will hang up! They call from different numbers, from different states., spoofing! Never give them any information or access to your computer!
That's maybe a way to win the battle, but not the war. To do any of what speak of requires answering the phone. The callers may not ransack your computer, or trick you into giving out financial or personal information, but getting a live person on the line is still a win. Without any kind of answer from your number, they have nothing to pass along. If you're anywhere in N. America, does this number look like anything good would come from it? You're best off completely ignoring unknown numbers.
