Just got a call from this number. I actually work in IT so I knew right away it was bs, so I toyed with the guy for a while, then called him out.
him: "so yes, we are seeing malware and viruses on your computer"
me: "oh really? What's the IP of the computer?"
him: "it is a temporary IP of 192.168.1.125"
me: "yeah, no.. that's a local IP address lmao. Obvious scam."
him: "it's not a scam or I would be asking for credit card information, we just need you to visit a website so we can remove the malware"
me: "you mean hijack my PC and then demand a ransom to unlock it. Get a real job."
Just got another call from these people, told them I would gladly talk to them if they could provide someone who spoke English so that you could understand what they are saying. Also it sure is funny how I don't have a computer so how could someone try to hack me since that is supposedly why they are calling me. They got mad and hung up but it didn't stop them from calling back.
