Scam. Ken Walston from Windows something or other, calling to tell me about malware on my computer. Was trying to get access to my computer. Speaker spoke with a heavy accent from a room with many callers.
East Indian accent wanted to lead me through computer procedures to fix [specious] computer problems. Right! Need your passwords stolen or malware - just follow his instructions! Deport this foreign trash.
Correction.. The majority of these calls are coming out of India and Pakistan.. There's nothing to deport and the numbers are spoofed.
The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face! And be very very leery of numbers when you look to call the real ones, there are fake websites up. Never call numbers from pop ups either, thats scareware.
they called my home told me my computer was red flagged for hacker and when i would not pay them money they locked my computer when i told them they couldnt do that they gave me a code to access my compter.
they even threaten me with the FBI showing up to arrest me they only gave me the code when i told them that i would be researching them and getting a hold of the authorities
SCAM! And they are a scam that can't even keep their scam straight! One of their scammers told me I had viruses on my computer. The other said that they don't solve virus issues but only error messages. Both wanted access to my computer and wanted to download programs onto it. Both claimed they could see the errors/viruses on my computer from their headquarters. SCAM
