Scam. Ken Walston from Windows something or other, calling to tell me about malware on my computer. Was trying to get access to my computer. Speaker spoke with a heavy accent from a room with many callers.
I received a bizarre call from this number from a man first from two men with Indian/accents. The first one identified himself as Roger, the second person I spoke two said his name was Leo McCallister. Claimed that they were calling from Windows Corporation and were warning me of scammers. Funny how this occurred after I had a reputable Microsoft Services technician notice that my computer was being hacked by others and they blocked the hackers. Don't even spend time on the phone with these individuals they are criminals but they sound legitimate. Even advised me to call my bank to dispute the service fee I paid for the Microsoft technical assistance. Just hang up on them because they want to get into your internet profile.
Received several calls from these people with Indian accents, saying that my computer is sending messages to them that my computer is receiving viruses when I surf the net on my computer, and if I would turn on my computer they would help me stop it. so I told them if my computer is sending you messages, then you would already know that I am on my computers internet already, and then he said we can't see your computer, (LOL) I said "I thought you just told me that my computer is sending you messages, how do you see a message if you can't see my computer". I ask for the number, he's calling from and it's this number. I told him hang up and I will call back, of which I did not, I blocked the call and put it on my spam list. People are crazy!
I got a call today from "George Smith with Windows Support." Same as everyone else-hackers are trying to get into my PC, log on so he can walk me through to to fix it. I asked when they received the last notice that this had happened bc I haven't turned on my PC in months. He couldn't tell me this. Asked for a number where I could call to verify this (caller ID was Unknown) and he gave 646-233-2811, just ask for George Smith. No 800#? When I told him before I called back I would be researching this, since it sounds like a scam, he hung up.
Yup SCAM Saying that my PC is infeccted and my IP address is hacked and used by hackers. Wanted me to remote access my PC. What I do now is call the number everyday or numerous times 646-233-2811 and they are so STUPID that they pick up every time and they hold on for like over a minute. Or I call them and lead them on for a while and then tell them they are a fraud and that I tapped their conversation and will report them. They are so stupid that the guy still is trying to hard sell me a windows license.
Same scam. Want to access my computer asked which one, they don't know. Got # and said I'm going to use the reverse directory which verified my concerned. SCAM
