Thick Indian accent wanted to me to open my laptop and do what he said because my identity was being stolen. He was from technical support and when I asked company he said "in New York".
Got a call from this number
Me: hello?
Alvin (Heavy accent) : hello this is Alvin from your windows help desk I am calling about-
Me: Sir-
Alvin: mam (I am a guy) your windows computer is in need of service and I can help you if you give me some information-
Me: sir I don't own a windows computer good by!
Alvin: What?
I hung up. obviously a fraud
...again since do not call list doesn't work I just turn my phone on and than off as quickly as possible ...what a bunch of rejects who continue to call. Total scammers
A man named Henry with a heavy accent called saying he was with Google tech support. I knew right away it was a scam. Reported his number to the Attorney General's Office.
Received a call from this number - on my company provided cell phone. Did not answer - they left no VM.
I'd received one of these from a local area code - right after reading on a security blog how some of these scammers were spoofing local AC's. The person in the cube next to me said he almost wet himself listening to just my half of the conversation.
