A call blocker can help. Also do not pick up on calls you do not recognize. The callers are hard core scammer/extortionists located in India and Pakistan. There's no way to stop the calls from being initiated.
Once again I am receiving another phone call from this phone number and he states his name is Nick Johnson wow when did India people start naming their citizens with American names. Please don't fall for this scam so sick of their scams on my phone just because they hacked into BC/BS insurance company and got my information. Please be realistic scammers I would like to introduce you to my attorney's where they can lock you up for your fraudulent claims. So show yourselves in our American courts and see who goes to jail. I truthfully hope they catch you thieves and put you behind bars and no innocent person falls for your scam.
I received a call at work towards the end of the day Friday of last week from this number. Sounded like a man with an India accent, said his name was Kevin Jones. He had a case against me on behalf of Advance America. He new my email address and mentioned my name. He didn't mention any part of my SS# like others have said at other websites I have seen on this subject. He said he had 3 charges against me. He said the cops would come to get me at work on Monday, which is today. He said he would call my boss/company and tell them. I told him I would tell my boss for him. I said I would call the cops myself. He said you want us to have the cops call you. I then hung up. He calls back a few minutes later, He asked my why I hung up. I said one it was very hard to understand him and two it was a scam and I hung up again. I hear they will keep calling off and on. Don't send them any money. Scam its all over the internet.
The infamous "Nick Johnson" just called me to tell me about a criminal case against me. He hung up pretty quickly when I identified myself as a retired FBI Special Agent. (Which I am NOT!)
I've received a call from this number and also voicemails, Msg starts out "This message is intended for 'YOU' (where do we do that)? Either you or your attorney need to return this call BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!" No company name, but I need to retain an attorney about this case and if I do nothing I will have to watch this case unfold in a terrible way; then wishes me the best of luck!
