I got a call from this number this morning. Indian (heavy accent) says his name is Kevin Williams from Criminal Justice Legal Law Services. He said there were 3 complaints against me and an arrest warrant was about to be issued in my name. I know you can't be arrested for owing money. I have a bankruptcy pending, so I was about to call this idiot back and give him my attorney's info just to shut him down....but I thought it might be one of those scams where if you call the number, you get charged. So I didn't call.
There's no debtor's prison. As far as I know, you can't be arrested for owing money. These scammers try to scare you by threatening arrest. Of course you call back to try to straighten it out.
Our company has received two calls (so far) from this number stating that there is an arrest warrant pending but they do not say a specific person just a threatening tone from a heavy accent. Several people work here so we do know who they are calling or why other than what is stated. None of us participate in criminal activity, in fact our business is try to prevent it! So far we have logged and recorded 2 calls, a 3rd will be considered harassment.
This man with a very heavy indian accet has called me about 6 time claimg that he is from the crimal jutice league of attorneys stating that i borrowed 5000.00 from some company. and a warant was being issued for my arrest however when i told him i could print m bank statements from the past three years that i hae banked wit my bank and prove that i neve borowed 5000.00 from anyon he put me on hold and never came back
just received a call from this number at work. When I answered an automated call (asian trying to be american) told me pretty much the same thing about an arrest warrent - asked me to call back at this # - did not of course but will turn it over to my attorney
Just received the same call from an Indian man named Kevin Williams stating that I have a warrant out for my arrest bcuz i have 3 complaints against me. What Indian do u know have an American name like Kevin Williams and he has a very heavy accent.
