I received a call from this same Kevin Williams saying an arrest warrant has been issued and to call the Criminal Justice Legal Center immediately. I have received calls from this same person from a different number with that same threatening message. I called them the first time and told them not to contact me again. If I owed a debt, please send me notice via US Mail-he immediately hung up when I made that request. Not bothering to call this number back.
These people are just trying to scam you out of your hard earned money. If you get these calls, just hang up. Block the number, change your number, report them to the state's Attorney General's office.
Just off the phone with this scam call. Fortunately the call was a bad connection or something so the "legal threat" was only about 1/3 complete. I let him ramble. The call ended when I said this is a scam call and he called me a "f*cking [***]". Not exactly the language of calls from any law office I know.
They become hostile when they know their plan failed, often resulting in profanity laced tirades. It's usually pretty funny when that happens, too, especially if they're foreign.
I just got a call at work from this number from Kevin Jones who had a very thick Indian accent and I am sure that was not his real name. He said he was from Bryan Cave Law Offices or Bryan Caye and when I asked him to spell it he got mad! I was like C A Y E or C A V E and he was so hard to understand I just said ok. He said he was calling about a legal matter and I would be arrested tomorrow for 3 counts of fraud. He said it was from Advance America which I have used 5 years ago but that was settled. When I told him this sounded like a scam he got upset and said "what the hell are you talking about scam!" I said that is unprofessional language from a lawyers office and he proceeded to tell me that I was unprofessional for calling this a scam! He said he was faxing the documents to my employer and I would be losing my job and arrested tomorrow! I asked a lot of questions and kept saying I really don't know what you are talking about. Why didn't you send paperwork or have me served? I just hung up. Wow what low down dirty people in this world! Always be on your toes, you just can't trust people anymore!
