Received automated message and I called back and they said I owe xyz. I advised i would visit my local IRS office in the morning and hung up. They tried to sound official by providing the ID and case number. I told them to feel free to mail me a letter if it's that serious.
I decided to troll them and got to a supervisor. I managed to get another number from them: 518-772-0331.
This is a large call center operation. All with Indian or Pakistani accent. Supervisor finally hung up with me after cussing me out :-)
I just got the call, they left voicemail I couldn't understand , so I called back and a Persian guy answered and said he was with the IRS , I said no your not and I'm not stupid , and asked to speak to his supervisor ... he hung up on me
So they called left a message, I called back and they claimed to be the IRS I knew they were scammers so I played the dump game and waisted 1h and 15 mins from their time once they found out I was playing they started cursing and hang up on me plus they blocked my # from callin again lol
