I got two calls from this guy. Thank God I told him the first time that his phone was cracking up. He asked if he could call back and I told him yes. In the mean time I did a google searcp the name that came up on caller Id. Thanks guys!!!! I told him it was a scam and I was going to hang up. I did. He called right back and I wouldn't answer. The guy sounds like the guy you described but the phone number is 347-468-8895 and it comes up WPI, Group Inc.
Called me tonight, had trouble understanding their language. They wanted my IP address because my computer was trying to send infected files. I told them where to go and that I was a computer technician with 10 years experience and to not try to scam me.
I just heard from them - WPI Group in Atlanta - and then when didn't answer, they called with a private phone number unknown - the guy said he was Victor and I told him he was a thug and a thief and to get out of my life.
I have been looking for a job on Careerbuilders and came across a potential employer by the name Diverse Lynx in Newark Nj. I sent my resume and the following day someone had called my house with a heavy accent. I called him back on 347-468-8744. He asked me was I Cynthia which is my sisters name but I told him I was Lj and He proceeded into asking me for my full legal name, date of birth and the last four numbers of my social security number. But before that he was explaining about the location of the job and there is three months of employment, which is sign by a contract. Eventually, I caught on and told him I willn't give you my ssn because no employer asks for that over the phone. He claim it was for clients or for the company purposes, whatever it was for I didnt consent, but he wouldnt give up and keep insisting on my ssn, eventually I hung up the phone. Beware of this scam, and I reach out to careerbuilders personally and they are aware of this matter.
The man called and said he was working for Windows and that someone is trying to hack into my computer, he was mad that I told him I will check out his company by calling Microsoft, he then said he would call me back. The phone number is 347-468-8859.
