They call nonstop, when I do get an actual person offering things to me they shouldn't and try to get their info, they always ALWAYS hang up on me.
It simply needs to stop, as I have no credit cards for them to contact me about.
I just discovered a $399 charge on my Visa account, made on Sept. 11, 2007, by IP-GMSALES.COM (phone #650-230-0249). I phoned the number and got the Australian-sounding voice message, asking for purchase amount, date and last 4 digits of credit card. (I provided the info - that may have been a mistake.) Then I googled IP-GMSALES.COM and found your message chain - so I seeI've been scammed like all of you. I called my credit card company and reported fraud; my card's cancelled and the $399 will be refunded to me. They looked up the vendor's site and said it was linked to various companies including some porn sites and - oddly - the mail order prescription service "RX Select," which I actually used to use a few years ago. Maybe that's the connection. I couldn't see those "associations" on the site, myself - when I put IP-GMSALES.COM in the url line, it sent me straight to "LiveOperator.com" which is the company that answers the phone for that 650-230-0249 number. VISA advised me to report this on the website "ripoffreport.com." -ann
This same company (IP-GMSALES.COM or IPSALESBYWEB.COM) is also using the number 650-230-0249. I've had 5 charges of $220.00 each post to my account. When I called the number, an Australian male asks for you to call and leave the last four digits of your VISA card number or go online at www.liveoperator.com follow the links and chat with a live operator during Australian time zone. What they are doing is hacking into businesses along the West Coast and obtaining this information. Everyone needs to be aware and report it to your bank and local law enforcement.
I was billed for an order and have not received the order.
Thank You, ALSO MY CARD will BEEN CANCELED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AN I DO HAVE FRAUD PROTECTION, WHICH DOES INVOLVE A LAWYER AND THEY HAVE BEEN CONTACTED.
So take the charge off my card immediately!
