I got a call on my cell phone from this fraudulent outfit. When I called it back on my hardline, I got a recorded message from the law firm that was issued the number saying they were working on the issue, confirmed it is a scam and recommended calling the Palo Alto police. I did that and they do not want further calls on this and suggest calling local authorities to report credit card fraud.
I actually called the Palo Alto PD. They said that the info to contact them was sent out in error. They are not actively investigating this issue. They said to contact your local PD if you think you've been victimized.
(650) 777-5358 Said they were something like coors Credit Union and to enter my 16 digit card number to be sure it matched their records to be sure my card was not locked or something. It was a recording
