Pre-record to landline on DNC. Robocall states that it's a "Contracted general agency for Blue Cross Blue Shield", but they are actually lead brokers. Was able to get the agent to say they are really American National. I wasn't able to get much more out of them than that, unfortunately, before they hung up. They are not actually BC/BS, and since they claim to work with all insurance companies, I doubt that BC/BS is paying them to do this.
Same recorded "Contracted general agency for Blue Cross Blue Shield" message. I agree they are not actually Blue Cross Blue Shield. But since they are calling numbers on the do-not-call list, they are likely not really American National either; they are more than likely just scammers out to get private information they can use for ID theft and deception. I added it to my ignore list.
With the call from this number, I have blocked 42 different telephone numbers over the space of 10 months all claiming to represent BC/BS. I've asked them to stop calling on at least 10 occasions. I've filed reports with BBB, the FCC, and the office of the NC State Attorney General. Nothing, and I repeat, nothing will stop them from taking your phone hostage. If you begin receiving calls from these ppl, my advice is just turn off your phone and buy a new one. I do not think they represent BC/BS, I think they are nothing but information farmers for scammers based on the calling behavior alone.
