I keep getting phone calls from this number 626 521 6695. I did a call back and learned the calls are from WCA subscriber services. My phone rings once...all hours of the day or night...and if I pick it up there is no one there. What is this all about?
WCA Subscriber Services is a company that offers crap via automated phone messages. This is effectively an outdated form of spam. I don't know who owns WCA, nor is it easy to track them down (but I'd like it if someone did). If you are getting called by them, I'd suggest the following:
1) use the 'opt out' option given by the message.
2) record any numbers WCA calls you from.
3) get on the FTC's national do not call list (call 888 382 1222 or go to www.ftc.gov).
4) complain about further contact (make sure to get the number WCA calls you from)
Screw these guys. Would you hit up your buddy to buy crap? What about a stranger? Or thousands of strangers? And with an answering machine? Don't just ignore it, do something about it.
i got a call from this number 16265216697 saying they are the irs . number is from california and when i called back the recording said it was wca subscribers services. this is obviously a scam. do not give any imformation about yourself to these services. i will be further investigating this fake company not to mention u should report all these numbers to the bbb asap.
I received numerous texts to receive bogus rewards. Also received 3 calls per day from WCA Subscriber Services. Here is my idea for you to try:
Call the number that is listed for their special deals (1-877-775-0532 and 1-877-339-0163) or whatever number they are bugging you. They will be so excited thinking that you'll give them credit card info., etc.
Here is what I did:
I kept them on the phone as long as I could so that they wouldn't call others and bug them. I told them my name was Lucille Ball, then gave them a bogus address and phone number. I talked about the weather/sports, etc. It was clear they did not live in this country after speaking to them a while. When they asked for the credit card information I told them my Visa number was 22222222222222222. HA HA HA......I felt a lot better.
Maybe if everyone that researches this would do that they'd have to keep changing their phone numbers like we have to do eventually. Go get them!! Spam the spammers!! Tell them your name is Charlie Brown and you live on Snoopy Lane in Lucy Texas......ha ha ha
