During the course of the last few days, I have received and continue to receive clls from this number at least 3 times a day on my cell phone. And they call at a time when I am at work and unable to answer their call. However, I tried to call back to determine who is calling and why but to no avail. Is there anything I can do to stop this call? Please help for it is simply irritating. Thanks
I have been getting those calls lately as well. Dead air, (.) as the caller ID. Tried to report the # on the Do Not Call Registry and it kept saying the area code was invalid.
Received a call at 5.20 pm, said they are holding a fundraiser for homeless veterans. They cleverly insert a (.) where the phone number usually shows on the caller id. iAfter i answered and she started her speil I gently put the phone down and let the telemarketer talk. When I heard the phone go into busy mode I hung it up. She talked for about two minutes. That was two minutes of her time, not mine.
Yeah I work with charities and I donate to the DAV, AmVets and Vietnam vets. I smelt a scam a mile away especially when I told them I didn't have money and they just kept making the donation amount lower. I think the best thing to do and I will do is file a report with the FCC.
They called today (657-202-9006) but I didn't answer. My number is on the DO NOT CALL. It exist only for my wife's Life Alert, not even our families call in on this number and I am getting sick and tired of these robocalls, telemarketers, political, charity, and scam artist. Getting to the point, if I knew, I would either get the death penalty or life imprisonment.
Got my first call a few minutes ago from 657-202-9006. Didn't answer. They left no message. Only a period (.) in the Caller ID. I no longer answer any calls from area codes outside my own. If somebody really needs to talk to me, they can leave a message. These telemarketers never do. At least when they stay on long enough to let the answering maching answer, it costs them a few pennies for one minute of phone time.
