They called me @8:41am this morning. I don't usually answer calls from #s I don't recognize, but have a child in the hospital, so now I answer all calls.
Man with a heavy Indian accent was on the other end, he told me he was from Microsoft. He sounded like this was a very urgent matter and asked me if I was using my email on my computer. I told him I don't access email as much from my computer or have I even been on the computer much in the last 2 months or so. I also told him my computer was working fine, but he kept up with his urgent demand. I finally hung up on him and blocked the call.
Caller ID John Ciza - Windows Protection department - i've gotten this call so many times now that I thought I should post something. I simply tell them "I do not have a computer" - that ends that!
Silence on the other end - though one time the guy on the other end of the line wanted to challenge me - do you have a cell phone he asks, I said yes - "well then that must be what is causing the problem" - I said how is that, I only have text and no internet!
Then silence - these guys are idiots and I am tired of wasting my time.
I receive monthly calls about my computer being infected, windows not working, etc. I recognize the voice and have blocked every number that has called. Today, it was the same voice but he asked for my husband. I told him he wasn't available and asked what it was in regards to. He wouldn't answer the question. When I told him to remove the number if he couldn't share the information with me, he hung up! Another number blocked! This man needs to be stopped!
