Got a call at home for a person that I don't even know; claimed there is some type of complaint against that person and to resolve it, call back. Sounds just like what has happened to the other recipients. Obviously, it's a scam, so I deleted it. No company name was given, but the caller id said it was from Lesmeister, VA.
I recieved the call today... i used to have bad credit about 6 or 7 years ago, but paid all bad debt back and made myself good... with a credit score now in the high 7's low 8's ... i have no bad debt....
The message read:
This message is intended for "MY EXACT NAME". I received a fax order regarding the complaint that was filed against you. I have been retained to serve you with documents to appear at either your residence, or your place of employment. If you have any questions or concerns about this complaint, or wish to rectify the matter, you can press any key on your phone to connect to our office directly, or call us at the following number 660-530-0029. When calling, please reference file number 127###. You have officially been notified.....
What a joke hahahahaha..... may the scams begin... these people sound pretty "American" ..... how can it be legal for them to do this?
The keep calling my husband and I (looking for me) and leaving the same threatening messages. I have blocked the number, but they seem to have a ridiculous amount of phony numbers they use to try to catch their unsuspecting victims. This is not my first rodeo and fortunately, I'm not naïve enough to take their bait!
We have a solicitor block on our phone, so when it's an automated call, if we answer, we only hear the last bit of the call. Received a call from this number, yesterday, called backed and left a message. No return call, of course. Received a call, again, this morning, got a supposed rep., looking for my son. She had several different addresses that I had no idea about. Then my address, took her a bit.... hummmmmmm... she apparently knew his name and SOCIAL! She claimed there are 4 judgements against him, yet, just over 500 would settle the account that has run up to over 3,000, but only if they are contacted immediately, before he is served!
She tried her best to put the "fear" in me.
I told her (Gretchen) all I could do was Tell him...... he will not be contacting them, I'm sure. Scary that she had all his personal info., other than his number, apparently! JERKS!!!
