Individual "Kevin Peterson" called with "Crime Investigations" for "Cash Advance" to collect delinquent payday loan. Stated "you will be arrested if you do not pay". Also asked to send Notarized letter, stating would pay debt, along with debit card number for payment. Took the money "owed" and afterwards, calling back saying "paid in full, still owe $400 in fees". Refused to pay and contacted police. FBI told to contact Attorney General Consumer Fraud Unit of state and give information regarding circumstances.

If you paid them look at the merchant more than likly it would be QAV or QAC something like that call your credit card company and dispute do not tell them you gave them auth or they will not do anything about it
Received call with this call back number 6 times today. I requested hard copy documentation. Caller stated name was David Williams - tried to disguise foreign accent with a very poor and very fake southern accent. States he is from Credit Bureau of Investigations, though he changes the phrasing each time he repeats it.
Beware! If they truly have a claim they should be able to provide you with written documentation. These people are relentless - file your claims with the Attirney General's Office and perhaps if there is enough traffic on this we will get some attention. The numebr displayed for origination was (916) 395-0000 but the 661-213-9240 was given as the call back number on voicemail.
Received same message from David Williams(indian accent) regarding lawsuit pending and needed my attorney's information. Used poor english. He told me to call back to get to the bottom of this matter and if I chose to ignore call he wishes me luck. Number displayed was a totally different # then callback # of 661 213 9240. Tried to call back and call went to voicemail-please try your call again later. Nothing in voice message about what company this was for. I filed reports to all proper authorities. Will not provide these scammers with any information-they are wasting their time. I am sorry to see people have paid these scammers calling from this phone #.
