Guy with think Indian accent said he was from the Treasury and they filing, blah blah like the other people said. No name reference when he called. Angry voice. Said his name was Steve Martin, haha haa. Thinks he's so funny..not!
Received a call today from a familiar voice claiming to be with a "Department of Legal Affairs". Same approach as the same voice who had been calling from a New York number recently. Must have gotten tired of New York weather and moved to California.
yeah I got a call from net 661 6957835 saying they was from the Department of Treasury and I better give them a call back with my lawyer because I owe back taxes and there's been a lawsuit against me this is gotta be a scam does anybody ever fall for this stuff
I just got a call from them as well and informed me they were going to have the local police come to my place of business and would like to know where I work. I could not even understand the man that was on the phone. I informed them I would contact the IRS direcetly myself and they hung up on me. Now they won't even answer my call. Interesting
I got a call from 323-498-3322 telling me that I needed to call 661-695-7835. The man had a heavy middle eastern accent and was yelling so I could barely understand him. He hung up on me once and called back screaming at me asking why I hung up on him. I screamed back that he had best not start accusing me of anything and that he needs to speak slowly and clearly. He told me to call the 661 number because I have a warrant for my arrest from the US Dept of Treasury. I called the number, curious if it was legit because I do owe very little taxes. That man told me the same story about the warrant and that I had better settle the matter and that I will need a criminal attorney. I gave him my financial attorney's number and said he can tell him what he wants and my attorney will let me know what to do. The man hung up.
