Just got a call from them. Apparently its a spam caller advertising that they can lower interest rates. seems to be a third party not directly related to any major credit company.
Called office, came up on Caller ID as "Bank of America"; however, it's only 8:13 in CA so I hardly think B of A would be calling a business on the east coast at that hour (but then again it's probably a spoofed number), PLUS it came in our 4th line so I knew it wasn't a call for us. I answered but didn't say anything. They hung up, also without saying anything, after about 20 seconds. I can GUARANTEE if I'd answered with co name they would've hung up in my ear.
We received a call from 661-726-3202 on our home phone. The Caller I.D. showed Bank of America. It was a recording to inform us that we could lower our credit card rates. I pressed "0" and was connected to a female that sounded as if she was from overseas. I told her to take me off the call list and not to ever call again. She didn't answer me-she just hung up.

She wanted me to confirm my identity by giving her my credit card number -- she assured me that without the three digit code on the back of the card it was completely safe to give her the number. I asked her for her phone number so I could call her back, and she transferred me to her supervisor, Sam.
When I asked for his number so I could call him back, he repeated the same reassurance that without the 3-digit security code on the back of the card I was completely safe. After hanging up, I used caller ID to redial the number. I got a generic Cisco voicemail greeting.
