Who ever this person is called my cell phone saying they was with the San Deigo Police Dept. They said they was folling up on a Homicide. When I called the number back it sounded like a recording.
I received a call this afternoon from this number and the " guy " on the phone, since my House is For Sale By Owner, saying that he is in NewYork , getting married and he wants to make a surprise to his wife to buy a nice place in my area, because he had heard about my area being so nice. He stated that he is going to pay Cash" at the point in time, I've asked him that if he has any questions to reply to the Posting and we will answer them . Immediately it sounded " spokey" since the number was a CA number but he said he is in New York. Asked about if the neighbors are nice , if there is anything wrong with the house and that they would like to move in September . I've also stated that we are not moving yet so no rush and that he will have to submit something in writing and after that the " Buyer" has to be more or sound more legit in order for me to discuss anything else. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SCAM-FRAUD - whomever uses this number - BEWARE - My number is on DO NOT CALL LIST ALSO !!! ??? WHY ? This is a lesson for me to NEVER AGAIN, answer any phone calls if I don't recognize the # .
Hey guys, this is one of the numbers that shows up if someone calls you through skype.
So it could be a telemarketer, a scam, a friend, etc etc. (so for instance the person above me, it could very well have been a guy using skype who lives in NY)
This number (661-748-0245) is one that registers when a Skype call is received, so it might be anyone. I received this number on my cellphone tonight from my son in Milwaukee, and didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. He made several more calls to both my home phone (registered OUT-OF-AREA) and my cellphone before I answered.
Is this a Scam? When I called back the number it says NO ROUTE FOUND
