Received a call from this number stating that I was being investigated from the treasury department for a big crime. I contacted my identity theft insurance company and they notified me that it was a scam and they are common around tax season.
Rec'd call from someone who called himself Pete Martin today (3/2/15). Caller ID said private caller. Man had foreign accent, which made it difficult to understand the message he left (we don't answer unknown numbers), and mentioned something about the Treasury Dept., being called before a magistrate court, and "let us try to help you." He then gave the following phone number to return his call: 661-771-6514. We did not call, realizing it sounded like a scam. We reported the call to the FTC, which did not have any information on this number yet.

Received a message from this number, (Pete Martin) that stated in an obvious foreign accent that I needed to return a call to this number because it would be a second attempt at avoiding a serious federal criminal offense with the treasury department where I must appear before a Magistrate Judge or Grand Jury and that he was trying to help me. He does not state any specific name that the call is intended for. It also repeats so it is likely a recording.
