There are companies out there that service telemarketing lists. They call you so that you either answer the call, or call them back. Either way you confirm to them that your phone is active and that there is a real person behind the number, so they can keep your number in the list to sell it off to future clients of theirs. Best thing is not to answer, report to "Do Not Call List" - the official government agency, not the telemarketer's.
I am on a DO NOT CALL LIST.
My understanding, I can get $1,500.00 for each time they call me!
We need to put a stop to this practice of calls.
