I get so many of these calls that I don't answer if I don't recognize the number. I just Google it and it usually leads me here. A bit of advice: if you do answer it, don't argue with these people, just hang up immediately. Pressing "1" or calling back just lets them know they've found an active number and they'll not only keep calling, but sell the numbers to other scam artists.
**BEWARE** I just received a call from them about lowering my interest rate. They said capitol one, citibank, chase. When I kept asking them questions and said I would call my credit card company directly, they hung up on me.
Automated call from "Heather" telling me my credit card interest rate could be lowered from its current 6%. All I had to do to find out how is press "1." I don't have a credit card... I hung up.
Recorded message about lowering card rates with no specificity. I pressed 1 and said, "I have a 800 credit score - take me off your f***ing list you piece of s***". By the time i looked at my phone to hang up, the call had already ended. Called on my cell phone which is on DNC list.
