they left me 2 voicemails sayin they need me or an attorney to call them back because they had a fraud case filed against me. first of all, they didnt say who they were looking for. and second of all. just for [***] and giggles. i called the number back. it rang amd rang and rang.
Payday loan collection Scam! Be aware, and do not give them any personal information! Caller would not answer any questions pertaining to their company name, address, etc. Caller kept repeating "Litigation Department" as their company name.
Report the number 678-257-2744 to the FTC, FBI, and State Attorney General's office.
I had the same call!! When I gave her my name and said I had a case on file. Then she asked me to hold. She came back and answered like she had never spoke to me in the first place. I asked if it was about a payday loan after I googled the number. They asked me if I wanted to dispute the case. I said "dispute the case ?" And she hung up on me!!
This is a bullying and intimidation tactic they use to collect on payday loans. If you talk to a person tell them it is an illegal attempt to collect a debt and you are going to turn them in for their illegal practices
