they left me 2 voicemails sayin they need me or an attorney to call them back because they had a fraud case filed against me. first of all, they didnt say who they were looking for. and second of all. just for [***] and giggles. i called the number back. it rang amd rang and rang.
I've had the call before, then same exact words as yours today. Said they need to speak to someone by today. Call back and there's no business name or anything on their voice message.
These people have no clue how to scam anyone. If you challenge anything they say they stammer and stutter, threaten to contact state and have you prosecuted.GIVE THEM NO INFORMATIONA AND VEIRIFY NO INFORMATION. A simple response such as; "You contacted me, so I am assuming you have correct information", will send them into a tailspin and refuse to talk to you and if you call them back and ask questions they hang up on you.
My parents received a call from this number and they gave my married name and said it was a case about fraud. Wouldn't give any other details and asked that my attorney call them. My parents called me (they didn't give any information and these people haven't even called me yet) and I Googled it straight away. It's definitely a scam!
They did the same thing to me. Left a voice mail, I called back and got someone else. They had old information that I haven't used in six years, and the more he talked, I realized he was trying to scam me out of $900.00. He said "you can dispute it in court" and I said I would! These people are nothing but THIEVES!
