Received a call today from this number. It was from Michael McCoy. He said he received a complaint from his office, and that my number was attached to it. Needed to speak to me urgently, and I had 7 days to do so. Just left a call back number. Did not tell me what company he works for, or what the complaint is in regards to.
I got the same message from Michael McCoy saying some crap about my phone number being attached to a complaint to his office? Gave me the number 888-512-3098 to call back and said "You have 7 days to respond. You have been notified." Didn't say what the heck his "office" is or mention what this is about whatsoever. Also didn't mention the name of the person he's supposedly trying to reach. And I have no idea what this would be about so I'm gonna call this another spam/scam call. Pretty sure if it was something legal & important I would receive something in the mail anyway. I don't think they can consider leaving you a phone message as proper notification for something like that (can they?). I received a message similar to this once in the past, a few months or so ago. It's gotta be BS.
I see a lot of people saying scam but i was able to settle out on my account with them once I realized it was on my credit report. I had a lawyer look into it and he verified them as legitimate.
