Called my sister (out of state) and left a message for me. Had my wife call back b/c I was at work and told her that I commited federal fraud and that if I didn't resolve a dispute from 2011 today for over 1000.00 that they were sending police to my place of employment to arrest me. My wife called out local police department and they said its sounds like a scam. They have no warrent, etc. Suggested I look number up on line. Looked up number and saw these posts. My only concern is that these people have my social security number.
A man named Jeff Drake called me from this number on 2/2/15 and left a lengthy voice message on my cell about a summons to appear in court and having a uniformed officer at my home and place of employment to pick me up. I called back and had to leave a voice mail. On 2/3, he called me again (from 678-515-9461) and said he missed a call from my number. I told him I was returning his call, but when he asked for my name and number I insisted since he first called me he should have it and I would not offer it to him and I knew he was a scammer. He lost patience and said if I didn't give him info he couldn't help me. I told him that was good and he shouldn't have a reason to call me anymore and we hung up. He called back about 2 min later saying he found my paperwork and argued that no one had called me the day before. Then he said I was a reference on someone else's file. When I told him to remove my info and do not call me again he claimed not to know who listed me as a reference and (yelling by this point) said I would continue to get calls because he didn't know where to remove me from. I asked for his mailing address and told him I know the law and wanted to mail a request to cease all contact attempts but he refused to give it.
Got the same call and same scenario. It's a scam. Jeff was quite taken aback after I quizzed him about being a member of any state, federal, or local law enforcement agency. That's when he went into his complaint resolution schtick. Funny how it wasn't even about anyone at this residence too but someone I went to bail out.
