Invest in a call blocker and do NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize. Callers are Indian or Pakistani tech scammers. They spoof local numbers.

Way too late to call.
We have an elderly mom so we can't turn the ringer off at night. But, illegal to call so late.
We may have to program our cell phone into mom's phone and cancel our landline. Tired of no support from anyone who could help.....phone company and or government. This scamming stuff is out of hand.
It was a man with a heavy Asian accent telling me that he called from "Microsoft" and he found my "windows PC" on the internet having some problems so he was offering to "fix it" for me... Please beware - they can remotely reprogram your PC to have access to everything, overriding your firewall and other software. Please do not fall for this scam. And you cannot talk to a Microsoft technician unless you purchase a support/warranty program so Microsoft would not "volunteer" to call you - the guy was fishing and I believe called at random since I just got this number and it is not posted anywhere yet. Please be safe and hung up on that scammer!
