Got a call from 703-291-9034, apparently IC systems (which is collections, after I googled it) asking to confirm my address and last 4 of social prior to them answering any question I had as to why this person was calling me. I told them, "no I don't confirm the address you just said and I don't give you permission to mail me anything" the caller raised his voice (obviously frustrated) at me and said he was disconnecting me and hung up. Do these people really think this works?
got a call.. picked up the phone and a woman said please hold, then a man ask me to confirm my then he wanted me confirm my address.. I asked what was it about and he would not say, I disconnected the call... sounda like pure scam.
They left no message. I called back and she asked me my name. I asked her her name. She said it then asked me my name and gave me my address and asked me if this is who she was speaking to. I said " I asked you what company you are with and what is your intent of this phone call, solicitation, bill collector?" She repeatedly asked me if this was "my name with the address of...". I told her I won't divulge any information until I know who I am speaking with. She sai, "I will call back later." then hung up. Well I added her to contacts then blocked her number so I wont have to deal with the annoying call from her again. :)
This phone number goes back to a collection agency called I C Systems collecting debts for Sprint.Even after talking with them regarding our delinquent Sprint account, they placed all our numbers, including home phone on an auto dialer and/or other collectors working our file called back several times a day using different numbers. This company is in direct violation of the FDCPA and I am seeking legal advice. I will never own a Sprint phone again, primarily due to this outside collection agency (Sprint chose who they do business with) and because they are raising their cancellation fees, they want to make sure they make money when their customers are NOT HAPPY. I encourage anyone who has a Sprint phone NOT to renew their contract when it expires. There are many other cell phone companies with better plans, we chose Metro PCS, now that's a friendly business, no contracts and if you get behind on your bill, no problem they just shut off your service...your not abused from some collector not know their job. I C Systems need to spend less time harassing Sprint customers and more time training the employees they have. I strongly urge you to file suit if you feel they have violated the FDCPA.(Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and/or file complaints with the BBB (Better Business Bureau)
