Obviously it helped this matter, and it didn't or will it ever make things worse. No the numbers are not spoofed as a ROT you probably don't even understand that kind of system. Thank goodness I didn't call an innocent person huh, you need to quit living in the maybe world not one of those things you posted are going to help stop any of this., and NO they DO NOT USE GOVERNMENT PHONE NUMBERS to make these scam calls. You can look up all the sites on the internet and still not get anything done regardless of how many complaints are filled. Everything you Just said in the first part of your pedantic statement is a LIE, and there is no legal action that can be taken.
Received a call today @ 11:39 Eastern time, clearly from a call center, I know, I worked in one. Man with a foreign accent said he was calling from the IRS. Have received other calls like this one. Told me he would fill out the information. I am going to look into filing a lawsuit. These calls come to my house phone. I have signed on-line to the DO NOT CALL list to no avail.
Called me twice on my answering machine. I called them back and someone answered the 2nd time. They informed me they sent 2 certified letter in Jan and Feb of this year that went unanswered and that they have done an Audit on my taxes the last 5 years. I told them I have all my tax records and would like to arrange a meeting with them. He wanted me to go to Virginia and I told him NO. I instructed him to fax there material to my fax number and I would arrange my Lawyer to look into it. They wanted the fax # of my Lawyer. I said fine but when I got back on the phone to give my Lawyers number, that person hanged up. I called 703-459-9372 x4 and left message x2. Now its difficult to get hold of them. I think I will keep calling this number everyday for a month to see what happens.
