Obviously it helped this matter, and it didn't or will it ever make things worse. No the numbers are not spoofed as a ROT you probably don't even understand that kind of system. Thank goodness I didn't call an innocent person huh, you need to quit living in the maybe world not one of those things you posted are going to help stop any of this., and NO they DO NOT USE GOVERNMENT PHONE NUMBERS to make these scam calls. You can look up all the sites on the internet and still not get anything done regardless of how many complaints are filled. Everything you Just said in the first part of your pedantic statement is a LIE, and there is no legal action that can be taken.
I received a call from this number claiming too be IRS but I happen to know IRS doesn't call they write letters. The SOB hung up on me when I asked what they wanted. So I have been calling them back every 15min. to 1/2 hr. and have been talking just down right nasty trash to them calling them every name in the book until they hang up on me then I call them back and do it all over again I let them know I will be doing this to them every time I get some down time which will be a lot because I am unemployed and have been for 2 years. So they will be getting nasty phone calls from me all day every day for a long time. Just today alone with in the past 40 min. I have called them 20 time and talked the most nasty foul things a person can imagine they have bugged the wrong person and I plan to let them know.
If you do call them back don't give them any info they ARE LAIRS and are trying to SCAM you I'm all over these guys like white on rice hell I'm calling them right now while I'm typing this just so I can talk trash to them again. This has been a on going scam for years.
I got this call from 703 459 9372 this AM and called them back. I too spoke to a person with a heavy accent who told me that my wife was audited and underpaid her taxes. They sent me two letters in january and since I hadn't responded, I was considered to be a tax evader and they would be bringing charges against my wife. I should get a "good" tax attorney. Otherwise I would be hearing from the sheriff. I was a wreck all day long until I spoke to my friend,an attorney, and he told me this was a scam. I am going to go to the local IRS office to report this.
This number called me again to day. LOL I have been calling this number for the past few days now and I have been getting a holed of a person with a very heavy accent. I have been talking some nasty thing to him every hr on the hr hell got him so pissed off that he started say very vulgar things as well as threaten me with bodily harm. At first he just answered the phone with hello then it turned into IRS then it turned into revenue service. I even got the guy to admit that he might not have fooled me but there are plenty of other people out there as he laughed. Again I told him I got nothing but time on my hands and he can plan on me tying up his phone-line everyday as long as he has this number.
Received a call threatening IRS action. Completely bogus. They are stepping up their game by saying they sent a certified letter earlier which was returned. this number and similar call from 703-828-0618 -- now blocked.
