they called me, same thing, IRS... I asked "why did I not get a certified letter?" They said, they sent it and asked me why I didn't respond. I asked them 'what address did you send it to?" They gave me an address, but it is not an address I have ever lived at!! Total bunch of B.S., IRS will NOT call you, they will send you a letter!!
My mom said that this was probably the sixth call that she has gotten and she wanted me to call and see what was going on but I told her IRS don't call they send a certified letter she was wondering why she hasn't received a formal certified letter yet so I told her to wait while I looked in to it and sure enough the number that they called from and wanted her to call back to "solve the issue" was this number 703-659-8367 which is a IRS scam we made a formal complaint and I help her block the number so they don't call again
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

This number called me saying I was being sued by the IRS and if I didn't pay my supposed taxes I was withholding from them they would issue a federal warrant out for my arrest.
How INFURIATING!!!! Just got TWO vm from these idiots saying I am being SUED by the IRS!!! SO GLAD I googled the phone # and found this website with the SAME EXACT COMPLAINTS...I tried calling back but rang & rang for 5 minutes and no formal recorded greeting!! SUPER PO'D that this crap goes on!!! Causing unnecessary anxiety for ppl and its SCAMMERS!!!!
Received a call multiple times. Normally I don't answer unknown numbers but after so many tries I thought it might be important so I answered only to have an automated message tell me I was being sued by the IRS and needed to contact them immediately. The IRS would send a certified letter. This number is bull.
